About Me

Teaching Philosophy:
 
I believe that all students can learn at a high level. I believe that with the combination of a positive classroom environment, fun activities, and hard work, every student has the opportunity to succeed in Mathematics. 
 
Education: 
 
Graduated from MTSU with my Bachelor's Degree in Secondary Mathematics in 2012
Graduated from MTSU with a Master's of Science in Teaching in 2017
I am currently working on my Educational Doctorate at Vanderbilt 
 
Teaching Experience:
 
I have been teaching at Holloway for 10 years. This was my first job and I have loved every moment of it! I am currently Department Chair and am also a representative of the curriculum team for Rutherford County. 
 
About Me: 
 
I am married to a wonderful man, Matthew! We've been married 5 years. I have a beautiful stepdaughter, Madison, who is 11 and a son, Steven, who is 4! I am very passionate about teaching and helping others love my subject as much as I do! I also enjoy cooking, working out, and spending time with my friends.
