RCS launches distance learning plan during COVID-19 shutdown

While nothing can replace face-to-face interaction with an educator, access to instructional materials is essential during an extended closure.

Beginning the week of April 6, 2020, RCS will offer optional assignments and activities to keep students engaged throughout the COVID-19 shutdown. New assignments will be added for each week of the shutdown. Teachers in all content areas will be sharing supplemental resources via their websites and will provide feedback on submitted assignments, although a grade will not be given.

Rutherford County Schools uses STOPit, an online and app-based system, to empower students, parents, teachers and others to anonymously report anything of concern to school officials - from cyber-bullying to threats of violence or self-harm.

Parents and students may subscribe to teacher's webpages in order to receive email updates of what is going on in classes. Edlio will send one combined message a day with any updates from teachers pages made that day. This is a great way to keep up with assignments and other important information. Just click directory and go to the teacher's webpage and click the subscribe button.
