TN Promise and FAFSA

First, you and your parents will each create FSA accounts.
Here is the link to create your FSA ID:
Make sure you write down the usernames and passwords and keep in a secure place. 
 
Second, you and your parents will need to access the FAFSA: https://studentaid.gov/fafsa-app/ROLES
 

Students and their parents should have with them when completing FAFSA:

    • 2020 Federal Tax Return or other income documentation
    • Social Security number(s)
    • Driver’s license (if any)
    • 2020 W-2 Forms or year-end pay stubs and other year-end records of money received
    • 2020 untaxed income records, such as child support received and veterans noneducation benefits
    • Current information on checking and savings account balances; stock, bond, and other investments; and business and farm assets
    • Your alien registration card (if you are not a U.S. citizen)
    • Student and parent FSA IDs to sign the FAFSA https://studentaid.gov/fsa-id/create-account/launch

TN PROMISE APPLICATION PROCESS AND IMPORTANT INFO:
 
  • Make sure to locate your social security card and use a personal email for create a log in. Plan to write down on your passwords' card or keep a secure note on your phone of your username and password.
  • Create a log in go click on: https://www.tn.gov/collegepays/
  • Click on the box TSAC Student Portal
  • Register and then Create a Log in
  • Remember to Password will require a Upper Case letter, a number and a special character
  • Fill out challenge questions
  • Create My account
  • Then, click Apply and click on Tennessee Promise
  • Fill out the information
