Welcome to the relaxing Mindful setting of ELA with Mrs. Hernandez. This is my sixth year at Holloway High School and I am so excited to get to know both the parents and the students here. I take a mindful approach to education and hope that you all will keep your minds open enough to experience a different way of learning. This year English will look a little different for me. I will be assisting the ELA department as needed and then continuing on as the Graduation Coach.
I have my Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction from MTSU. I love, love, love reading. I am passionate about teaching and have worked in other career fields, but I know that working with students in an educational setting is the career for me. I have been at other schools in the county and can clearly see that there is something special here at Holloway. I hope that you all see that too, and can get everything that you want and need from this school. I believe that all students can succeed in the classroom and I am willing to be flexible to make sure that we meet your educational goals.
The one thing that I want you and your student to get from me is that I care. I will do everything to make sure that we have a successful year. I am very excited to get started this year and can't wait to see how much we both learn this year.
